From the amazing Modern Lovers in the mid-70's, to his current solo sets with Tommy Larkins on drums, Jonathan Richman is absolutely a national institution. And we are blessed that he has made Long Beach one of his favorite places to play over the last several years. With a three-night residency of early shows this week at DiPiazzas, there is no excuse to miss this charming and multilingual musician with the tenderest heart, purest brilliance, and killing-est dance moves.
